Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, reliable, 35mm scan
Cons: Heavy/Bulky, High Ink Consumption
While it is perhaps true that it does not conserve ink very well, the added feature of a film scanner is a nice add-on. While it is not the highest quality to scan film on a flat-bed scanner, it is a nice backup to have when in a pinch.
This coupled with bottom tray feeding cassette for paper, or top sheet feeding is another great option that makes it space saving when stacked on a shelf. Although, the printer is bulky by today's standards.
The scans are good quality and the color matching is pretty good for this price range. I disagree with other reviews found on this site and as a photographer myself I would say that this is a balanced buy for a modest budget.
The inklevels are usually accurate and the print speed, while not a race horse, is not noticeably slow.
Especially, as I have said prior, if you need to do a few quick scans of 35mm film.
