Good Value
Date: March 5, 2010
Pros: reliable, durable, High Quality Output, fast print speed
Cons: Large Footprint
Most of my printing is B&W and the cost of ink just goes against my grain. Canon has always meant quality to me so when the 3250 was available I scooped it up. I'm also a fan of multifunction. And when it includes FAX it's a sure buy. Print speed and quality are v. good. My only concerns are: lack of an on/off switch and it's a bit larger than I'd hoped.

Great All-In-One Copier
Date: February 9, 2010
Pros: reliable, durable, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: Difficult Setup
Purchased this item a week ago. We are having problems setting up two lines for the fax. No other major problems except the slow setup operation. We have deleted half of the junk that came on the disks. It is used in a gas station and does great for printing invoices, selling hunting and fishing licenses and general copies. We have no need for the scanner. The choice of a place to feed individual paper works great for the licenses since they are envelope size. This is a A+ for us. Great looking and fast printing. Overall, I didn't want the scanner button, but when I went to the web-site we did download the drop down tool bar if needed.

For the money, nothing better
Date: October 24, 2009
Pros: High Quality Output, fast print speed, reliable
Cons: default is a4. i am not british. i need "letter", cant be color. not a true con
This printer prints fantastically. I love the output and I love the price. It prints as quick as you would ever want. All of my Word documents look great and multiple pages fly from the printer. They never smear and draft mode looks great. Copies are stellar. I printed two copies of a document and I mixed them up. I could not tell the original until I smelled the page.

works just fine
Date: October 7, 2009
Pros: High Quality Output, fast print speed
Cons: Flimsy Construction, Large Footprint
I use this in a small office and it works just fine.....It prints quickly, very few jams and I have used the scanner twice with relative ease. I also have it as a fax machine as well, and again, just fine. I guess I am not used to all the "features" that other people write about, but for a printer, fax machine and the odd scanning, it is just fine for the money.

Very Poor Scanner Application
Date: July 19, 2009
Pros: High Quality Output, fast print speed
Cons: Flimsy Construction, Large Footprint
The software’s interface and feature are very poor, the interface resembles that of applications for Windows 3.1. Features wise there is almost nothing for a software supposed to explore the resources, capabilities and capacities of the scanner; it does non-sense things for a dedicated scanner software such emailing of scanned documents but it lacks average and even basic functionality of a dedicated scanner application which is its main function: a nonsense application with horrible features as far as dedicated scanner application goes.

it's woth it inspite of any flaws
Date: February 1, 2009
Pros: High Quality Output, fast print speed, durable, reliable
If you read all the reviews, it's fair enough to listen to them. However, this unit works for home usage than for heavy duty work. I have this more than a year now, and still haven't given me any trouble.

MF3240 can scan in Vista (64 bit) - Using Paint
Date: November 27, 2008
Pros: High Quality Output, reliable
Cons: Large Footprint
The fact that the Vista version of the MF Toolbox was NOT ported to the 64-bit Vista version was a little daunting, but in a couple minutes, I found the Vista version of Paint has a "From Scanner or Camera" option in the file menu. Had to look here, since no other scanner-aware application appeared to be installed. It is unfortunate that the control you have in being able to manage the device through the Toolbox has not been made available. I really hope Canon can correct this oversight.

Nice Unit
Date: October 31, 2008
Unit works great and the price is affordable. Would give it an overall 5 if it had a document feeder. The unit does have a Vista 64bit scanner driver but the toolbox is not Vista 64 compatible. Able to scan just need to use another software program.

Beware if you have Vista x64
Date: October 29, 2008
Do not buy this printer if you want to use the scanner under Windows Vista x64. No driver is available.
The printer and copier functions are great and the price is right.
