I have found this printer to be fantastic, it does everything I want it to do and more. Hte print quality is fantastic. However i think the only thing that I have found wrong with it, and that is, when the ink has run out of one cartridge it will not let you do anything, even if its a colour cartridge and all you want to use is the black on, it will not let me print/copy/ even scan.

I'm sure that I've owned 20+ printers over the years. This one has been better for dollar-to-quality ratio than any. Oh yeah...and that's on a Mac by-the-way!

Tis was a replacement for the Dell printer that came with Our system. I wish that I had bought it first. The ease of use, cartridge changing and/or cartridge availability is second to none. This is an outstanding printer. Rest assured, in the future, when needed, I will buy another Canon Printer. This blows the Dell away in every aspect.

Just what I expected

I did major research through test evals and reviews to find the printer that best suited my needs. I wanted a multi-function however ECONOMICAL printing and reliability were my detemining criteria. My product search narrowed down to two printers and they both were Canons, the MX700 and the MP520. I found a MP520 locally and bought it. No surprises, it is absolutely exactly what I thought it would be. I am totally satisfied with this unit. The only question I have now is; why are these fine machines no longer being marketed by Canon?

The quality of my photo, text, and graphic printing has been great! And, it is so economical - several hundred 4x6 photos on one set of cartridges. It is so versatile, well-rated by Consumer Reports for months. Of course, right after I purchased, the newer models with wireless connections came out but that's life. I am setting up with a wireless print server.
It is a little big and I do wish it had duplex printing but I am so happy w ith this. And the software package is quick and easy to use when I don't want to take time with my personal photo editting software.
On first use I had to take it to a public relations event and print about 200photos via Pictbriidge. Excellent!
