Cons: finding a store that sells the dedicated paper/ink
I needed to print some pictures for a family member, and my i450 isn't performing as well in that regard as when it was young, so I decided to purchase a dedicated photo printer. After some research, I opted for the Selphy CP780. It's very easy to set up, very easy to use, and the 5 pictures I was able to print with the paper and ink that it came with are beautiful. I just wish the ink cassette/paper set were more readily available. Best Buy, where I made my purchase, doesn't carry them, and my Internet research failed to provide names of any stores in my area (Los Angeles) who do. I'd call Canon Customer Support to see if they could tell me where I can find the right products, but the Care Center is only available Monday through Friday. It's one thing to be "sold separately" and quite another to be able to purchase the printer at a store, but to have to order (and wait for) the supplies needed to enjoy it! I am thankful that I don't have an actual deadline to worry about, but I don't appreciate the hit to my need for instant gratification.
