Pros: Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Missing features/settings, noisy
For my 1st DSLR it's well worth the price.i just got it a few days ago and am very happy with its performance. It will take me awhile to learn all the features on it. I also added the 75-300 mm lens as well. Worth the extra money for the zoom. Tonight I was playing with the macro lens, have never used one before. My photos actually turned out pretty good for not knowing anything really about macro photography. Love the size of the LCD screen, not too big or too small. Only thing I wish it had was a "color selection " like some other name brand models. Also it is a little noisy compared to others but its not annoying. Had it had this I would have given it 5 stars all the way cross.

I reviewed the other options that were out there and this camera was definetly worth its price. I was used to shooting with point and shoot cameras but this was a great buy for the money. My pictures are great and I am still learning to use all of the features that this camera has to offer.

Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Poor build quality, noisy
For my first DSLR camera, the T3 jumped above the rest simply for the extremely appealing price. Although the build quality does not feel up to par while in hand, and the loud, high-pitched shutter sound are quite frustrating, overall, I can say nothing else bad about it. It gets the job done and is just a fun camera to use for the cheap price.

Pros: good battery life, quiet, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable
Cons: Dim LCD, Difficult to use, Complicated controls/menu
For an entry level camera I found this to be a good buy. Having researched the alternatives as best I could the canon t3 won out for its wider lens options. The one thing I would like to see is more support for mac os 10.8 since none of the software is compatable which is a bummer. Also more detailed information on what each function does and how to access it would have been greatly appreciated. The pictures I have been able to take with my novice experience has me speachless. I would recommend this to anyone starting out in the field.

Almost all the features I need in this camera are available in a low price tag but only down point of this cam is i'm not able to manually set the exposure, aperature, & ISO in movie mode. If possible, please release a firmware update to allow the movie mode to be set manually

Cons: Missing features/settings, i would'nt say poor build quality but could be bet
This is a very good camera and the build quality is very good, yes the camera could be more solid but we are talking about a beginner camera and an entry level camera. I've shopped and did a lot of research and was very pleased on this camera what the pro's and real people were saying about it. I presently bought the Canon ef 40 mom f/2.8 stem and boy what awesome picture that lens and camera is taking. I would highly recommend to get away from the kit lens as soon as you can. There will be a world on a difference. Don't miss out on the quality of this camera, you won't be sorry.

EOS Rebel T3 the the best camera for beginners who don't really use professional cameras.
it took the greatest pictures i have ever seen and used when i went on vacation last year on December 2012-2013. the menu is really easy to use and the settings explain what they do and which kinds of pictures you should use it on.

i just bought the T3 some few weeks ago - and i should say, i love it. it easily replaces my existing sets of Point and Shoots. For the past 15 years - i moved between the other brands as well as Canon Powershot S10, but when i got the opportunity to upgrade, the T3 purchase was a great investment. My daughter who is 10 year old uses this more often than me - shows how easy to use the product.

this is in fact my first DSRL camera, its incredibly easy to use, a great price and very energy efficient, i do however wish there was a grip, and that if there is in fact a timed photo feature, i could figure out how to use it...

Cons: Poor build quality, missing rubber textured grip
Just purchased the T3 bundle from a department store (2 lenses 18-55mm and 70-300mm, starter lenses). The camera is very powerful and has lots of features. The one thing that surprises me is the lack of a rubber textured grip. I have a Canon T50 (yes, its old and it works fine) and that camera has a GREAT rubber grip. Why did Canon exclude a rubber textured grip on the T3? I cannot think of a single reason to exclude a rubber textured grip.

Great introductory SLR camera with quality video. I love it as an on-the-go camera as it is very flexible for transitioning between photos and videos during events and I always get great shots and 15-20 minute video. The auto-focus can be really helpful in strange lighting, and it shoots incredible in the dark without a flash.

I have had my Rebel T3 for about a year now and I am very happy. Being my first DSLR camera I found this to have a solid build and alot of settings that I haven't had the chance to explore yet. The camera takes very sharp pictures. I like to take alot of outdoor pictures and It just performs great. Now I am looking to buy another lens for my camera and I plan to stay with the canon brand because I like their quality. The controls aren't hard to figure out and the booklet and cd that came with the camera helps you to understand how it operates. You cannot go wrong buying this camera it's worth every dollar. I would definetly recommend this camera to my friends.

I love my Canon Rebel t3! The photos are sharp, the features are great. If you want a camera that will take great pictures but cannot afford to purchase a really expensive camera, go for the T3. This camera is great for beginners and professionals alike. I hope that you will consider purchasing a Canon Rebel T3 today.

I had this camera for a month and a half im still learning the ways around the camera it has so much features. I'm really glad I had to make this purchase for a photography class because I'm in love with this camera. I think this camera is for beginners who are just starting out or like me updating my equipment and slowly becoming an intermediate photographer.
