Pros: Easy Setup, Good Media Handling, durable, High Productivity, Small Footprint, High Quality Output, Low Running Cost, easy to use
Cons: complex software setup
The hardware setup was straightforward - I recommend closely following the instructions that call for a 3-person lift to get it onto its stand. This printer is big. Driver installation was complicated because the included CD was for older versions and the new versions must be obtained directly from Canon instead of the normal way. Once the driver was installed, the calibration with the on-board (non-spectrometer) calibration hardware went smoothly -- one calibration on one known type of paper serves as the cal for all the other known paper types. After setup, install, and calibration were complete, it was a breeze to load special media and obtain beautiful output without mistakes. The print dialog can be daunting, so spend some time learning the ins and outs of that before committing to big print runs. I bought this printer because of the precision specs, resolution, and 12-color Lucia EX ink system, but the wide variety of media handling is currently my favorite feature.

Cons: Large Footprint
I've been using the iPF 6400 now for about 2 years and I really could not be happier. The colors are so sharp and vivid, it is almost hard to believe! Each time I print a banner that is 24 in x 72 in, I'm amazed how quickly the ink dries when using a Scrim Vinyl. The menu screens were hard to get used to at first but once I became familiar with all the menu features I could easily navigate back and forth, that is why I gave the Features 4 out of 5 stars. Overall, the printer is awesome and I sell more Scrim Vinyl products than anything else, but no matter what kind of media is used (photopaper, polypropylene, vinyl, etc.) the iPF 6400 is up for the job and is sure to impress!!!
