This is the world’s first interchangeable SLR lens equipped with an Image Stabilizer. You can reap sharp pictures even in low-light conditions when camera shake would normally blur the shot. Effective for sunsets and places where you cannot use a tripod.

Good Lens

Pros: Superior build quality, Fast auto-focus, good image stabilizer
Cons: ok picture quality
I got this lens for my EOS a few years ago. Although by now, there are much better lenses out, this lens was state of the art in its day. The picture quality could be a tiny bit better but otherwise, this is a good lens.

Pros: Super-sharp images, Superior build quality, Fast auto-focus
I used this lens in my wedding photography biz and it was great for capturing candid shots of guests using the external 550ex flash with the EOS 20D. Extremely sharp photos.
