Great camera
Date: June 28, 2009
Pros: Superior build quality, excellent image quality, easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice custom functions, Ergonomic/comfortable to hold
Cons: needs batteries.
What can I say. I love this camera! I also own a canon SD digital camera but I like my 35mm the best. Picture quality is always great.
I like to take my camera everywhere I go even though it's bulky. My friends are impressed when they see it.
It is fun to use.

best beginner camera
Date: June 17, 2009
Pros: Superior build quality, excellent image quality, easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice custom functions, Ergonomic/comfortable to hold, Good light-metering, compatible with all ef lenses
Cons: no battery charger
I've been using this camera for last two years. In the beginning I was doubtful if it is the right one..but trust me, right from the first roll of film, it has never failed to impress me. The camera is robust, can be handled easily and works very well with all EF lenses by Canon as well as Tamron.
Its light in weight but quite handy to use. The only downside perhaps is that it comes with a CR-2 battery (for which a battery pack is available now), which does not have rechargeable counterparts.
but...if you are a beginner in SLR photography, and would like to be charmed by film medium, I recommend this rebel!

Best Camera
Date: November 22, 2008
Pros: excellent image quality, easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice custom functions, Ergonomic/comfortable to hold
I have been into photography for years, and loved digital cameras until I realized how grainy the pics were. Even my best digital couldn't complete with standard film cameras, so I switched to the Rebel. I couldn't be happier with it and would recommend it for anyone. Having a film camera has really made me take more time to set up my shots because I can't erase them and start over. My pics have really improved alot and family and friends have noticed the difference too.

my family all have digital cams and yet they all want prints of my photos, the pic from 35 film is just better than the flat digital pic....my old minolta was getting laughs and comments from airport personal and it was very beaten up...now i am again proud to carry my rebel and i feel like a rebel against the digital tide.
