Pros: reliable, low toner cost
I've owned my unit for about 5 years. Usage has been light (about 15,000 total copies) because it's a home office. But I've used all three features; copy, FAX and scan. Except for an occasional paper jam and feed problem the unit has been reliable and produced very good quality copies. The paper jam problems disappeared when I began using 20 lb sheets. The feed drawer has always been a touchy nuisance, but you learn to live with it. I've used the scanner very rarely but I've been pleased at how easy it is to use.
The best feature is the low cost of toner. I get several year's use out of $60 worth of toner.

Too many problems for me

I found the printer / fax to be average at best. It has a hard time with faxes over 7-8 pages without jamming. The print quality is good but if you plan to use as a primary printer and fax....the fax has been a source of HUGE frustration. Overall I would not suggest this to anyone as I believe for the money there are better options on the market. A friend of mine purchased the same unit and has since sent it off once to be repaired. This is my personal opinion but I am a pretty confident that better and more dependable products are on the market.

I agree with previous comment about Vista. I google this printer and found suggestion on how to make this printer work with Vista. Yes, it did! It works wonderful with Vista. Love it! Thanks!

Pros: High Quality Output, fast print speed, durable, reliable, easy to use
a previous review stated it doesn't work with vista. This is not true. To make the driver run please right click the driver exe file and set it so that it runs the program as an xp compatible program.
the driver itself works, just not the installer for the driver.

Solid Workhorse of a Printer

Except for its large size and inconvenient paper tray at the bottom, I have nothing but praise for this printer/copier/fax/scan machine. I have had it for several years now and worked it incredibly hard. The toner lasts a long time, and I have never had a malfunction of any kind. It is truly a dependable machine and great quality.
