I have used this scanner for years and when it wears out I will try to replace it with another one. I have had very good service from this scanner and highly recommend it

Solid scanner. Excellent quality. PC only, though. However, if you have the right operating systems, then it's a great product.

It would be difficult to beat the 300ex scanner for the price. Connection is through a USB port, so it couldn't be easier. The twain software works with virtually every photo editing program available so compatibility is great. The scan resolution is more than sufficient for everyday photos. While this may not be what you want if you are a professional photographer, it is perfect for the average user wanting to scan snapshots. Scans come out crystal clear. This is a workhorse scanner. I've scanned over 500 photos so far with no problems. The software supports "multiscan" which is a term meaning you can scan more than one picture at a time. Depending on the size of your photos, you could scan several at once. The scanning software recognizes each of the photos and separates them for you. This is a huge time saver when you have a hundred family photos you want to import to the computer. I've had my 3000ex for a couple of years now and am very pleased with it.
