I bought this little camera in 2005 and it still works great now; I have not even changed the battery pack (I only used it when necessary) I like the color of the pictures taken, the design, and its durability. I am now in search of a new camera and Canon brand tops the list because of this cutie:)

Pros: Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Short battery life
I've had my SD450 for over 3 years now, it ahs gone thru the worst possible treament, heat, water, dust, kids. And still performs as the day that it was bought, great pictures, nice videos w/sound, easy to use menus and functions. But we all agree that a 760mAh its not enough fot this cammera, other than that its been a wonderful experience with it.

Pros: Nice features/settings, durable, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Poor Low-Light Performance, Short battery life
Great camera- my family uses it often. Had it for several years now and still works great. It is durable, easy to use and takes good photos. My only cons are that the screen scratches-so keep it in a carry case when not using. Also, the photo quality isn't the best when using the flash or with low light situations. Otherwise, love the camera.
I've had this camera since it came out and it still works great! The pictures I take are of same quality as the newer Canon ELPHs. The controls are simple and not complex so it's easy to use. The zoom works great and still takes crystal clear pictures. The battery lasts all day long, even with me constantly turning it on and off. The screen does scratch very easily so invest in a bag or a protector! If you're looking for a camera with amazing quality, simple controls, and fun features this is definitely the camera for you--whether you be pro or amateur.

I love this camera! I have owned it for over 3 years now, and have never been disappointed in it. My only drawback is that the screen gets scratched easily. However, it takes great pictures and the battery lasts a very long time!

Pros: easy to use, Bright LCD, good battery life, durable
Cons: Poor Low-Light Performance
I have owned this camera for over two years now and would not recommend it to anyone. While it's small size is nice, using the auto settings, it takes horrible flash shots and even bight daytime shots come out dark. Spend a little more money and you can do much better.

Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable, great sound reproduction, inexpensive to use
I have owned, and used, many cameras in my lifetime and this Power Shot SL450 is the best yet. It takes high quality pictures and motion pictures (with sound) that can be easily downloaded to DVD's (for the motion pictures) and CD's (for the Pictures), or they are easily stored on a P.C. for instant viewing, e-mailing, etc. Anyone using this camera will find it convenient; very handy (fits in shirt pocket), and easy to use (though it takes a bit of time to "learn") the functions. I carry my camera on a belt clip nearly everywhere I go. I do have others, but this is my favorite. Thank you Cannon.

Pros: easy to use, Lightweight/Portable
Cons: Missing features/settings
I received this camera for Christmas over three years ago. The quality of its pictures has not diminished. It's very compact, had a large screen (comparatively, at the time of purchase,) and easy to use. I recommended newer cameras from this line for friends interested in digital point-and-shoot. Its features are limited in manual mode, so this is not a good choice for anyone above the basic skill level.
i've become a lot more interested in photography since i've started college, and am upgrading to a DSLR. my extreme satisfaction with this camera has convinced me to stick with the Canon brand when I upgrade.

Pros: easy to use, Bright LCD
Cons: Missing features/settings, Poor image quality, Short battery life, Flimsy Construction
My SD450 was a nice camera during the time it worked... but then for no reason it has just stopped taking usable photos. All pictures are extremely overexposed and barely even viewable, any that you can see have horizontal lines. All the settings have been verified to be correct. I have searched and found other people who have had the same problems... but never any explanations or solutions.

I am enamored with my "Shirt Pocket Friend", the Canon Power Shot SD450 Digital ELPH.
I purchased it for it's looks, low cost, size, quality of pictures, complete ease of operation, convenience, etc.
Of all the cameras; my first was a Kodak camera back in 1946, to this little beauty. I will probably still be taking pictures and videos with it as I fall into my grave.
I REALLY like it.
Thank you Canon for a really fine picture taking machine. Robert E. Maynard (Sarge), MSgt, USAF, Retired.
