A Print-Copy-Scan heavyweight.
The advanced PIXMA MP800 Photo All-In-One delivers spectacular Print Copy-Scan performance. It produces an amazing resolution of up to 9600 x 2400 color dpi 1 , for remarkable detail and clarity. To achieve this, Canon Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) uses a nextgeneration 3,584-nozzle print head that ejects precise, consistent droplets as small as 1 picoliter. The result? Smoother, virtually grain-free images. Also, our ContrastPLUS 5-color ink system - four dye-based inks and a pigment-based black ink - produces true-life photos with a wide color palette, along with laser-quality text. What about speed? A 4"x 6" photo lab quality borderless photo takes approximately 36 seconds 2 .

I purchased this printer almost 3 years ago and it has never failed me. It is simply to work although not particularly thrifty on ink.

Pros: reliable, durable, does everything you need
Cons: pretty heavy
Bought the Canon Pixma mp800, very good choice. I love it!. Alittle confusing but if you read the manual ..it all comes together quite nicely. I would definately and have recommended this to friends. Very happy with it and glad i bought it!

I love all the features this printer has. I switched from a long standing usage of another brand to this Cannon printer back in 2005. I did so because for the price this one seemed to have so much more to offer.
Unfortunately, I have had to stop using this printer. Not because it doesn't function well, but because I simply can not afford all the ink it consumes each month. I do not do heavy photo printing etc, which is a good thing, but the simple spreadsheets and letters I print use much more ink than than the other brand of printer I switched from. And even if you are printing only black and white the color inks still get consumed somehow and before you know it is needs replacing also.

Pros: Low Ink Consumption, reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors
Dose a very nice job with Slides and Negetives. The only thing missing is a templet to hold the other types of color negetive film, like 110 and 126. They were pretty common in my day. This is a excellent photographic printer and I have used mine a lot with my Digital Camera over the last year. I have no complaints.
