Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: weak flash
It's the best camera I ever owned in my life! the myriad of awesome features on it seemed almost too good to be true, but I used them, and indeed, I am 100% satisfied! The battery life is by far the longest-lasting battery life on any camera I used too. I can even use it in low light situations with the long-exposure settings. It even endured a lot of elements since I first got it, drops onto concrete sidewalks, accidental contact with water and soda, and heat, and it has not yet let me down! I like the 4x optical zoom as it is comparable to most standard cameras that mostly have only 3x zoom. The autofocus is very fast and most of the time it is reliable. Battery life is excellent, and in two hours, the battery can be recharged and the camera will be set for a long time.

Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, easy to use
Cons: a lot of unused features
The Canon SD700 is the greatest little camera on the market. I have used it continuously for everything from art projects to family reunions, bird watching to home inventories and the results are always excellent. I never leave home without it. It is easy to use, small enough for purse or pocket, and always ready to go. I had a minor problem with the card lock but tech support answered the question immediately. I would recommend it to anyone, at any photographic skill level.

Pros: good battery life, durable, Bright LCD
Cons: Complicated controls/menu, scene modes are a marketing gimmick, heavy
I've used this camera since early 2007 and have shot over 18,000 pictures. Its image sensor leaves the images with something to be desired, especially when compared with the other Canon digicams. The design of the interface is clunky and unless you get use to it you'll be wondering how to switch from auto to manual to video to preview. Plus don't forget to alway return the dial to preview before you put it in your pocket or bag - if the power button gets bumped and the dial is not on preview the lens will drive out causing potential damage. The noise on this camera is bad. In great light on low ISO it still has noticeable difficulty.
It is 2010, don't buy this camera, get the newer Canons and make sure you like the functionality.

Pros: excellent image quality, easy to use
Cons: on/off switch awful
All around great camera. Heavier and solid can take a drop or two. Big issue is terrible on/off switch. It is a very flimsy plastic 'hinge' that always protrudes and then breaks off. Then you need a paperclip to turn it on. Mine did, after warranty...

Pros: easy to use, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, good battery life, durable
This is one of the best presents I have ever gotten. I've been using it for a couple of years without any problems. I just point and shoot. There are lots of things I could do with it but I just want really clear pictures without having to mess with settings. Quick and easy.

Pros: easy to use, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life
I had a canon digital camera that I was told was in excellent condition but an older model. I replaced it with this camera and am pleased even more. The image quality is excellent. With the image stabilzing feature the images never come out blurry. I love that the camera is small and compact.
