Cons: scan fuction doesnt work, does not reconize ink cartridges it comes with, uses ink very quickly even for plain documents
piece of garbage. the only thing its really good for now is to elevate my computer screen.

I have had this printer for more than 2 years. I use it almost daily for labels..envelope printing and my high school student uses it for many projects. It has worked great for us all these years. I have not used it to print photos. But all my doc's and invoices come out great everytime. And I love being able to scan docs and images...one button ease of use for scanning. I told my family about it. Mom just got one too.

I have had my PIXMA printer for over 2 years now and have had no problems with it. It has exceptional print quality and photos come out great. I have also found the printer quide to be easy to understand if needed. I feel that there isn't a better printer out there for the price!

I have also had a problem with the paper pulling to the right and jamming. I got it fixed once, accidentally, and I haven't been able to fix it again. It seemed to happen after I changed the cartridges. It's is expensive enough to buy new cartridges, and worse when the printer stops working with brand new ink in it.

i have used the modle now for about 3 years and have only 1 complaint.yes it does use alot of ink but you refill yourself and you save. the product is a great dependable product.never had a problem with it.i do not want to even upgrade but i know i will need to.but for sure it will be a one from the same company. i am very happy.

I have tried numerous brands of printers and I've always come back to Canon for their ease-of-use and reliability, and for the most part... they are very stingy on each use for everyday printing. Ink cartridge prices are also a lot more reasonable than some of the other brands.
I read some of the reviews about high ink consumption... yes, when printing a photograph, you will burn through ink very fast.
I have recommended this printer to several my friends who have went out and purchased it and are very happy with it. The only problem that I have ever had with this series of printer, is one of my three computers (XP Pro operating system) I cannot get any the extra features such as a scanner to work with it.
On the remaining two computers... it works great.
One final comment regarding ink... keep in mind that unlike some of the other higher in printers, when you replace the ink cartridge you are also replacing the print head and thus the reason that the cartridges are little bit more expensive. However, the advantage to that, is that you get a fresh printhead with every ink cartridge versus having to replace the printhead at some point in the printers life, which can be expensive in itself.
In short, in my opinion, if you want a three in one printer that copies, scans and prints for home use, for the price, I highly recommend this one.

This Canon product does a good job. It scans prints and copies well. My biggest complaint is that it is not user friendly. It is difficult to find solutions to problems. Each time you change tasks it is a pain to change all the settings. For those of us that are not IT people this unit is difficult to use. There are many other printers that are much easier to use!

I guess I buy a new printer every 2-3 years - mostly to keep up with all the new features. I had no ends of driver problems with hp products - their software tends to takeover my mac. Then I tried Epson - never again. If you don't print continuously then the heads get clogged and you're deep cleaning non-stop. I run the canon with the built in macosx scan software - works great and doesn't take over the machine. The printer has been rock solid reliable, integrates well with iPhoto, etc. My favorite to date. I need a sheet feeder, so I plan to buy a new canon.

I have had this printer a little over year and have been satisfied with the few times I've used it. The only thing I would say needs to be improved is the ink usage. Compared to previous printers, this Canon used ink much faster. Otherwise, it is a great product. I like all the features and buttons that make it easier and quicker to use.

I have had this printer for over a year now and everytime I have used it, I find an awesome feature that it has. It has a great scan feature that saves your documents as pdf. The printing is great. The only problem with it is that it takes a while to print and the ink is expensive. I wish that it was wireless. However it is a great deal for what you get.

Have had this printer for 2 years - scans & copies well - prints nicely and just works. It is fairly compact and thus fits my small desk space. Controls are easy. Like all inkjets it is a bit slow to print but not more than others. I am very happy with it.

the first couple times i used this printer i was ok with it except printing pics i didn't like the colors but as long as i was just printing "stuff" I was ok with it. bt then it got so that it would print with missing lines i have tried cleaning and even deep cleaning and if it does work it is the same way the very next time i print, meaning has to be deep cleaned again takes up so much of the expensive ink it is definatly NOT worth the price!! I WILL NEVR BUT THIS PRODUCT OR RECOMEND IT!!!!!! the scanner scan light. I only gave it one star in each catagory because I couldn't give a review without it or with a minus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had "few" problems concerning this product... other than "the amount of ink used" !! Excellent Multi-Function Printer/Scanner/Copier.... for the price... I even ended up paying about $20 more at Best Buy, though !! Still an excellent product !!

I thought I was the only one having this problem. I have tried every way to clean the feeder and the printer and the paper will still feed to the right and jam. This printer is worthless. Do not buy!

Why me!!!! This printer was okay before I had to replace the ink cartridge for the first time...After that the paper hasn't been loading correctly..I've done everything! Now it's loading paper to the right...BOOO! Dont ever buy this printer
