Pros: great price
Cons: poor workmanship
DISLIKED - Took 6 mos to get cartridge to work. The parts wouldn't align. After aligning cartridge, no color printed on page, not black, not white, no color. Ink status says full. This cheap printer is of cheap quality. I got what I paid for - NOTHING.

We purchased this printer for our college bound son. He was very pleased with its performance. Now he is home on summer vacation I use this printer all the time. Just hook it up to my laptop with the USB cable and you're ready to print excellent quality documents. Planning on getting another one after he takes his back to campus in the Fall.

Cons: Difficult to use, Dull Tones & Colors, unreliable, High Ink Consumption
Do not buy this model. I tried to print a series of photos. The Pixma guzzles print cartridges like a Hummer guzzles gasoline. The colors in the image you see in the print preview do not match the colors that you get from the print. You go through a lot of prints trying to get the color right. Certain colors, like buff colored stones are impossible to duplicate (You get a reddish tone.)
Trying to replace a cartridge is a nightmare, since the cartridge carrier runs back and forth like a gazelle.
While the Pixma may do for black and white printing, if you want quality color prints, DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER

My printer is great for the things I print on this printer. I have several printers and this printer was very easy to setup, and I have not had any problems with this printer.
This printer can be used for any printing project to mention a few: printing postcards, pictures, resumes, brochures, letters envelops, and whatever project you are needing to print.

Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, Low Ink Consumption, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: 3 in 1 color cartrige
We got this printer in a bundle package with our computer. I thought at least it is a Canon. I have been a fan of Canon printers since the BJ-200. Really dating myself...LOL. Gone through many. My wife and I seem to print well more than the average family. We push our printers well past the monthly average of pages, sometimes 2 or 3 times more.
Well I have to say for it really is up to my standards, Canon really has Quality and Affordability hand and hand in all of its products.
I only have 1 Con about this product. That is that I wish they kept the individaul ink cartriges in this model too.
But ink consumption is still very good.
I own 3 Canon printers, i80, iP2600, and just recently purchased aMP560 Multifunction.
They all work hard and we get lots of compliments on our projects. We print on all sorts of media, paper, photo paper, card stock, iron ons.

THE CANNON IP-2600 IS GREAT,(BUT) IT IS A INK PIG. IT USES WAY TOO MUCH INK AND THE CARTRIDGES ARE EXPENSIVE. WHEN IT RUNS OUT OF INK IT STOPS EVEN IF YOU SWITCH FROM BLACK TO COLOR OR COLOR TO BLACK!!
I HAVE OWNED SEVERAL CANNON PRINTERS AND THE BEST ONES ARE THE PRINTERS THAT HAVE INDIVIDUAL INK TANKS.

Pros: fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: Large Footprint, High Ink Consumption, expensive ink
This printer looks like a good deal until you actually use it for awhile. It goes through ink VERY quickly, and apparently has a built-in "feature" that won't permit you to use any color ink cartridges apart from their own brand. I've owned two other Canon printers, and have been generally satisfied with them, but haven't run into this problem before. It's irritating enough that I will be looking at other brands when the time comes to replace this printer. Over the long run, the bang for the buck just doesn't hold up. It also takes up a lot of real estate on my desk compared to my previous printers.

Works well. Buying entire printer is cheaper than buying the individual cartridges for the printer. Duplex printing is more a manual operation that with my previous printer. Much louder when printing than my previous printer.

I Love my Photo Printer. It was so easy to install and is a pleasure to have and use. I look forward to purchasing a digital camera from you guys shortly. I owned a 35mm cannon camera back in the 1980's and loved it as well. It's that simple short and sweet! I Love Cannon! And you have a wonderful support team. So to all you buyers out there Cannon is the only way to GO! Thank you Cannon!

IThis printer was an excellent purchase for exactly what I was needing at the spur of the moment. I needed a printer for photos to send to my son in Colorado and I also needed a printer to create flyers, banners, and posters for the campagn I was working for. My multi-function printer that I have is being used as a copy maschine now because the color part of it just doesn't work properly any more. So, I went out and knew exactly what I needed and wala! the Pixma iP 2600 is the best color photo printer I have ever bought and the price was unbeatable. I totally recommend this printer to everyone. The things I like the most about this product iare first of all, the performance. Second of all I love the clarity of the photos whether they are glossy, matte, or even plain paper is amazing. Definitely a 5 star rating all the way around.Thank you for letting me share this and thank you for such an excellent purchase.

As indicated on the survey I am very pleased with the new printer. The variables in the survey pertain to the item "Price/Value". I rated only the Value portion since the printer was a gift from my Granddaughter age 14 since she became aware of the problems that my "other unnamed brand" was giving me. I appreciate the overall quality of the printed letters, even the mispelled words look good, the overall compactness and the finished design of the overall appearance. One other feature that is involved with this addition to my office is that in registering and being "enlisted" into Canon family I was made aware of a Support Services Notice that my Canon Power Shot A300 digital camera was going to be repaired even tho it is out of warranty but at no cost to me including shipping. I immediately did a print copy of the Notice giving me all of the information, with telephone numbers in case there were any questions as well as how to ship. I apologize for the length of the "Epistle" but had to expound not only on the new printer but became aware of the good news of being able to have my camera repaired since there are no repair locations anywhere withing a 50 mile radius.
