Pros: excellent quality
Cons: none to speak of
I have used this product for quite sometime now and have never had any problems with it thus far, it prints out photos according to the quality of the photo you are printing, if the photo has bright color and is sharp it will print beautifully and documents print excellent and I would recoment this product to anyone who is looking for a printer that is top quality and easy to use with many features and included software for all your printing needs.

Pros: price, ease of use, easy maintenance, inexpensive ink
I have had my Canon Pixma for over a year and it is great. I have 2 other printers which cost more by a different company and do not use them because my Pixma works better. I use it daily for homeschooling and I print about 20 pages a day for 4 students from Pre K to high school. The printer does print when the color ink is out you have to set this manually from the print page. The instructions are here at this site. The cartridge is tricky to change if you didn't read the manual. MOST OF THE PROBLEMS LISTED BY REVIEWERS ARE EASILY FIXABLE BY READING YOUR MANUAL OR SEARCING THIS SITE.

Pros: price, quality, satisfaction
Cons: speed, noise, envelope jams
Works great.. It's a little slow and noisy but I paid $35 for this at wally world. I printed off 250 wedding invites w/ envelopes, response cards, directions, etc. They looked professionally done. The envelopes are tricky though, if they're not place properly or too many in at one time this printer jams rather easily. I did all 250 on one black ink cartridge which I thought was good because I bought 2 thinking that was how many I would need. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Pros: good quality printing results, many features with included software
Cons: prints slowly, noisy
Prints with good quality results
Easy to use
Lots of features
Seems to be noisier than other printers I have had in the past
Prints more slowly than I would like. It seems like it takes forever to start printing after you send the job to the printer.

This product will not allow you to change the cartridge so when it runs out you are unable to use it ever again. The cartridge holder will not move to the left so you can change cartridges.

Poor rating on all but features because it doesn't work. Perfomance is measure of how well something works. It doesn't work so performance is poor. Quality is measure of how well and how consistently something works over time. It doesn't work so quality is poor. Value is a measure of how well something works as a ratio to cost. It doesn't work so value is poor. All the features in the world have no value if it doesn't work. The thing thinks there is a paper jam. There is no paper within two feet of it, but it still thinks there is a paper jam. To add to the frustration, it won't even try to scan when it thinks there is a paper jam. There is no reason that scanning functions should be limited because of a problem with the printer section. Support website doesn't respond; it says "loading" instead of providing answers. Tried several times waited long periods of time, it still says "loading". Once got to point to enter question. Entered " paper jam error". Hit search button and it went back to a previous screen that says "loading". Search of internet indicates many others have the same non-existent paper jam problem. My advice: don't buy something that doesn't work.

Pros: Easy Setup, Lightweight/Portable, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: Flimsy Construction, paper feed problems
This printer worked great at the beginning. Prints and scans quickly. I think I only had it about a year and a half. Before it would eat the paper often now it won't even feed the paper. Better to spend a little more money to get a better quality printer. I used to have a Pixma IP4000 which was awesome but broke after about 6 years.

Cons: Slow Print Speed, High Ink Consumption
This is a pretty good machine but don't try to scan if you dont have any ink cartridges in it ,or try to print using one cartrige . As the saying goes you get what you paid for . Not complaining about the print just that you can not use only one ink cartridge and if both cartridges are not there , it will not scan

Pros: Easy Setup, durable
Cons: Slow Print Speed, Large Footprint, Dull Tones & Colors, unreliable, High Ink Consumption
I bought my printer about five months ago, and it's been a heartache since. When no ink cartridges are installed, it doesn't want to scan - the connection between having ink in the printer and using the scan option has no relation, which is mind boggling. This printer has a very low yield ability when it comes to ink consumption, and not recommended for moderate to heavy volume printing. Doing a 'print alignment', can be time consuming. Easy set-up though, and no problems with software, it prints average quality photos, but overall the cons overrule the pros. Not recommended at all - you pay for what you get.

Cons: Difficult Setup, paper feed is so noisey
At first I was not real happy with my printer. I have gotten aquainted with it now and it is rather good quality product. I can suggest that the paper feed not sound so loud - I some times wonder if my printer is going to fall apart. One more suggest I have is that Cannon offer credit for used cartridges toward the purchase of new ones if purchased on line.

I was up and running 20 minutes after I got home with the hardware and my 16 year old was using all the functions in less than an jour after that . Just like a kid she didn't read anything on how to operated the printer she bull headed her way through and that shows how easy it was ti operated. She's not Computer nerd either. She's more a computer wrecker LOL.

Cons: Dull Tones & Colors, High Ink Consumption, will not print with out color ink installed
Printer will not print just Black only, so you have to buy a color cartridge also. Which in turn burns through the color cartridge every print. We have the setting on Black printing only but it still uses the color cartridge. I have searched Canons setting and help guides and have not found any way to just print black without the color installed.

Worked fine with the set of cartridges that came with the unit. When they had to be replaced it tells me out of ink. I bought two set for this and still out of ink
What goes?
Need some thing to get printing done, not a peice of equiptment to be setting around to take up space
