Pros: reliable, Compact Design, Easy Setup, durable, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use, excellent scanning
Cons: have to push on/off button twice to turn off
I replaced an older Canon with this one and am very pleased with its features and performance. In the CON category, I have to push the OFF/ON button twice to turn it off. This may be a safety feature. I contacted Canon Service, and they said to hold it in for 5-10 seconds. Well the 10 seconds moved up to 20 at which time, I simply push the button twice and am done.
The scanning is wonderful quality. I have a 4 year old MP500, and the difference in the two scanners is immense. I've turned over my scanning load to the new Canon and am very pleased with it.
Printing is, as usual, for Canon's photo printers of the highest quality. I'm still on my first set of ink tanks, so cannot comment on that yet.
Overall, Canon printers are the best on the market, with prices low enough for anyone to afford. Now if they'd just get their ink in line with prices of their printers, we could print to our heart's content!

Pros: reliable, Compact Design, Easy Setup, durable, Low Ink Consumption, Lightweight/Portable, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use
This is my first Canon produce ever. I purchased the printer in the later part of January 2011. The setup was done quickly due to the directions. Believe me, this 77 yr old needs that for sure. The price is what caught my eye at first. I reviewed what others said about their experiances and believe me that the noise didn't reach any great levels and ink consumption is lower then my old copier. I just hope its lasts as long as my last computer. Time will tell. Love the location of the SD/SDHC card and the easy of being able to excess the slot and the controls. Great prroduce.

For the price I don't think you could beat this unit . Very nice photo reproduction using the high gloss II paper.

Very easy to use! And also it works very fast. It was a gift from me to my mom on Christmas and I gotta say she is happy about it.
