Pros: workhorse easy to set up and use
Cons: none so far
despite reading some disappointing reviews on the 4450, I purchased it anyway. Have been using it for approx. 6 months for by home business, printing mortgage documents...mostly text lots of ink coverage and output legibility is critical. Am very satisfied. Printing over 3,000 pages per month...using Canon cartridges...mine are lasing about 1800 pages. Don't want to risk going to off brand toners. Would definitely recommend.

Pros: High Quality Output
Cons: Difficult to use, Difficult Setup
Really not worth the effort it took to carry it in to the house. It can copy, but I've never been able to make it print or fax. I'm not an amateur at this. I've successfully installed and used probably 12-15 printing devices at home and probably another 50 or so at work, all with no difficulties.

Pros: Easy Setup, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: scanner
The printer works great. The Scanner however is absolutely terrible. I didn't mind having to program it from the printer and my computer as it is all located with in arms reach. It is the failure to actually scan through the feed function and failure to scan through manual feed of mulitple pages. The feed function if it processed all pages often would miss pages (blanks) and the manual feed for multiple pages would close out on me leaving me with multiple attachments for one document or the need to start over. This was mentioned in other reviews and I disregarded as I had other alternatives.

Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use
When my previous printer died in the middle of purchasing a home, I had to move quickly. I was particularly tired of having to replace 4 ink cartridges when I print black most of the time, so made the leap to laser. Another office I'd worked in had used a Canon for the accounting dept, and never had it mess up checks and important forms the way some others had, so I chose this one. Set up was simple, ad I've had no issues in 5 months. I love being able to scan a stack of pages easily with the feeder. It is SUPER quiet and easy to use. Glad I got it when I did.

Great machine. The scanning and fax capabilities are great. Fast printing and copying. I sold and bought a home and I was able to send paperwork back and forth between the realtors and finance people in a flash. It was very affordable and I purchased a second one for work. Best printer Ive purchased and Ive been a computer guy since the 1980's dot matrix style printers.

Our company already owns two models in the imageCLASS line- the 5750 and 4350. After years of daily use we are happy with both machines. When our office expanded we decided to purchase the image CLASS 4450.
Our biggest gripe is the scanning mode. As a previous reviewer wrote, scanning is a pain and requires the user to press several buttons before the scan is complete. With previous versions of the imageCLASS machine, scanning and printing can be done smoothly and with ease. As a person that scans and prints all day long, I find using the 4450 to be frustrating. As soon as our new 4350 arrives this printer will be packed up and returned.

4 years ago I start to use Imageclass MF4150, and MF4350D, excellent performance. But the opening gate is easily broken, so I buy this MF4450, thought that this is a upgrade version of MF4350. But it disappointed performance, slower reaction, no 2 side printing, and the worst is you cannot easily scan, you have to press several button at the machine, then could start your scan program at Win7........stupid backward technology! I am thinking to fix the previous MF4350..

I bought this MF4450 (via Amazon) to replace my old MF3240 which after 5 years finally lost its USB port. But the fact that the MF3240 was trouble-free for 5+ years brought me back to Canon. I received the new MF4450 yesterday via Fedex. Well packed, no shipping damage. Setup and install was a snap, absolutely no problems! And the performance as expected is better than my old MF3240. For anyone with a Home or Home-Office who wants a reliable, efficient & cost effective Printer/Fax/Scanner/Copier using laserjet (rather than inkjet which I'll never own again!!) technology, I highly recommend this device!

Pros: Small Footprint
Cons: Difficult to use, Difficult Setup, Low Quality Output, unreliable, Flimsy Construction
I purchased the lastest version of the Image Canon after my trusty, dependable, Canon 4100 developed a problem with paper jam, no matter what I did, I could not correct the problem. I was told it would cost me more to repair the printer then to buy a new one. So I purchased this model. Once I went through the unnecessarily complicated set up where you had to push all kinds of buttons just to input the date and time, I was ready to scan to a pdf file work related documents that I had to get out immediately. The stupid paper feeder did not work! The paper would not feed , I kept getting error messages, paper jam, lost connection, data lost. It was horrible. I am taking this lemon back to the store first thing tommorow. I want my old Canon back. I might just go ahead and get the old printer fixed, it was a workhorse, perfect, never had one problem in more then the 5 years I had it. Do not buy this low end model, poor quality, poor design and it feels cheap.
