Pros: reliable, Compact Design, Easy Setup, durable, Lightweight/Portable, Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use
This printer is a delight to use. I've used Canon Printers for years. This specific printer DID require a learning curve. Once completed, it has worked like a dream! I am extremely satisfied with it & will be using it for years. Thank you Canon!

Pros: Easy Setup, Lightweight/Portable, easy to use
Cons: Slow Print Speed, Dull Tones & Colors
I found setup very easy. It does put 3 programs in your startup file that slows my machine down slightly so I go in and close them. Pictures are OK. They seem perfect for give to friends and my daughters friends. 4 x 6 pics print a little on the slow side. Text prints well. Scans very well in my opinion. I am worried about the ink consumption but this printer does not get used very much so I think it's just right for my use.

Pros: Compact Design, Lightweight/Portable
Cons: Difficult Setup
Bad news first, the wireless setup is a horror do yourself a favor buy a usb printer cable if you don't already have one go to the canon site and download the newest firmware. from there you can setup the printer, if you follow what the cd manual and the canon site said to do YOU WILL throw this puppy at a wall. If you have wpa2 on your router you can input all info from the printer. If it were not for the bad info in the manual and web site I would give it a higher rateing

Pros: duplex printing
Cons: rarely connects properly, drags ink down the page, expensive ink replacements, jams very easily, slow printing
I really tried to love this printer, seriously I did, but I can't. I got this printer as a gift and it started out great. Being a student in university, I had a lot of printing to do; notes, essays, reports and the like. It did two sided printing, the ink lasted a fair amount of time and the quality was not bad. However, it's slow and very picky with how you load the paper. It once decided to have a paper jam, 3 times in a row. Another time, it ate the entire stack of paper inside. It also tends to drag ink down a printed piece of paper, creating large, ugly lines. And I have ran the cleaning options. Twice. Also, it never seems to be able to stay connected to my laptop! I keep running that LAN finder and it finds it but never seems to actually connect.
Overall, there has been more grievances than positives. I would most definitely NOT recommend this printer. PLEASE don't buy this printer.
