I make a living with this camera. I use it in conjunction with the C300 on multi camera shoots and as an A camera on our narrative projects. The image is gorgeous, the workflow in conjunction with the Ki Pro Quad is incredibly smooth. Most importantly it is RELIABLE. I have never had any issues with these Canon products.
The form factor here is excellent, it can be as small or as big as you need it to be. Having the recorder work externally may seem inconvenient, but it's a serious advantage when you need to work in a tight space and record high resolution/bit depth.
More over, any time I have any kind of question regarding the camera or the workflow Canon's support center answers my call every time with virtually no time on hold and are ready with answers. This is absolutely invaluable when you're in the field.
Can't say enough about the camera and the support behind it.
The CN-E lenses are top notch as well.
If you want 14+ stops then you're going to be paying a higher price, but these workhorses are phenomenal for what they are.
It's expensive to operate these cameras, but nowhere near what you'd need to buy a fully functional Alexa or RED rig. It'd be awesome if these were cheaper, but they get the job done and that's what matters.
