Bought this camera primarily for sports. Easy to set up and shoot, phenomenal images, multiple output options. Performs well in bright light as well as dark shoots and every thing in between. Great value overall. I am very please with this product.

Daylight shooting is OK, but anything indoors is intolerably noisy. Only -6dB works to some extent, -3dB gives already visible artefacts, 0dB and above is so bad that I wanted to return the camera.
Why not? I need all the other bells and whistles in it, including the 4-channel audio. So please, Canon, get your software guys working and issue a firmware upgrade NOW with a different noise filtering algorithm! We need you, Canon needs their customers.
So roll up your sleeves and redo this baby from inside out so that 'gain' would not mean 'pain'.
