Pros: high quality scans, easy to install and set up, easy to use
The Canon D2400U flatbed scanner works excellent. The software is easy to load. Evidentally, it was rated Best Buy by Macworld Magazine. Sometimes a device is good as the software that makes it work. This holds true here. The ScanSoft OmniPage Pro 11, bundled with the D2400U, performed unsatisfactory scans. However, I am glad not to blame the defects on the scanner. Generally, Canon is still in the forefront of making excellent cameras, copiers, printers and scanners at different ranges without quality being compromised. The Canon D2400U scanner is a swell scanner. Since this scanner is discontinued, Canon has a wide selection of photograph scanners and documents with a wide range to choose from. Of course, it is obvious not whether to choose or not to choose a CanoScan scanner, but which CanoScan scanner to choose.
