Pros: excellent image quality, Nice custom functions, Superior build quality, Ergonomic/comfortable to hold, Good light-metering, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
i HAVE HAD my Canon XTI since 2006. it has been a good camera for alot of things, it has not been good for long distance photos! I live out in the country and go to Yosmite alot to do shots, but I would not change. I have 2 other Canons which are film cameras. Good cameras.

Cons: could use a mirror lock
This is a great 35mm film camera for beginning to intermediate photographers. Loads of features, from full automatic to full manual; built-in flash hot-boot for external flash; etc.
The only thing I wish it had is a mirror lock. Lacking this makes it difficult to take clear shots with a long lens and slow shutter speed.
Otherwise, great camera; great deal.

I bought this camera when it first came out back in 03 or so, I love it. Works great, its had a couple accidents and no problems yet. Good quality pictures.
