Cons: bars in pictures
This is a great printer. It has high-quality photos and also is great for document printing too. It specializes in photos and works well with other things to. The only reason I gave it four stars overall was because I'm having some issues. If I print a picture with it, there are colored bars in the picture. Once I get that fixed, it will be my favorite printer.

I have had to replace the print head once other than that a flawless printer. I have looked at newer printers from Canon but I just can't see replacing my i850. The printer has been great.

Cons: ink replacement a little costly
I've had this printer for several years now. Bought it specifically for printing photos, and I'm extremely happy with it performance.
Very easy to set up, quality of photos is excellent (I also use Canon photo paper).
Great all around printer, and good value. I've had many printers over the years, and this is by far the best.

Best printer I've ever had. EVER. Just wish it was a 4-in-1 (but they didn't make those back then). This printer is fast, reliable, clean. As I say, I only wish it did more things. I have been taking my time getting a 4-in-1 because I don't want to give this one up!

I have owned an i850 now for about 8 years and had nothing
go wrong with it. It has consistantly proven to be a good quality photo and sheet printer. Its easy to use and good print quality...the cons would be that there is no seperate conpartment for photo paper, it does not print 2 sided and it needs a usb port for use...otherwise its worth its value in cost. Would definitely recommend it for a good simple home printer...

This printer was rated #2 in Consumer Reports test for printers.So quiet and smooth can't tell it's printing,4x6 outstanding but when I did a 8x10 the result was was nothing short of astounding with a 3.2 mp camera to boot. Have upgraded to 8.0 mp,When people see my prints in either size they don't believe I did it myself. I physically have to print in front of them. Did online search selling for twice as much as original price if you can find them. Canon out did themselves with this one.
