I have had my i860 for way more than 3 years and it is the go to printer at our house. Excellent photos and graphics. Canon will be my first choice when it comes time to replace this old friend.

Pros: quality, excellent performance, solid construction, individual tanks of ink lower cost to own
Cons: not much!
I have had this printer for 3 years at least now and it has been a flawless performer. It is very consistent in terms of quality and performance. I can leave it for long periods of time without use and the first print off the unit is always excellent unlike other printers I have owned. I have never had a paper jam. I am a little concerned that the ink cartridges are now becoming harder to find - I do hope Canon does not dis-continue support for this guy. Excellent printer - I am very happy

Pros: reliable, durable, easy to use
I've had this printer for over 6 years and had very little trouble with it. It prints quick, color is good, and the ink tanks are easy to refill. I recently had trouble with the blue ink not printing. Support talked me through cleaning and recalibrating the print head and it works fine again. It's been such a reliable 'work horse' that I set it up on a wireless print server for the whole family to use.

Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, Low Ink Consumption, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use, dependable, user friendly
The Canon i860 is the most economical printer I have bought. I replaced it with the Canon Pixma MX 330, mistake. The Pixma MX 330 is too expensive to use. My i860 quit working and I could not find another one. If you have one in stock I want to buy it.

To those searching for a photo and Printer in inkjet color...this is the better of a few Canons that I have owned, and I am proud to say that they are all at my relatives: My daughters, grand-daughters, and I elected to ship a few to buyers whom I gave a very fair price and elected to send along the 5 tanks of ink from 6 Bk,6-Y,6-c,6-M and 3e-Bk.. and sent some 50 sheets of excellent papre so it can be set up and used in 15 minutes maximum. I know because I have set many up for friends whom I showed a few New Canons which I got on sale from A store that went "Belly up". You can read the specs anywhere, so I am not going to repeat a thing from these sellers, but I shall praise this Canon and Canon Pixma iP4000 as it is only slightly better in some respects. They are both exc. in handing you borderless Pictures, and print anything that you wish. The PIXMA iP4000 beat the i860 by jusst a few tenths hgere and there, such as if you wish to use the bottom of Top paper trays, you do not have to remove the paper on the iP 4000 and this you have to do to get two sided pages for a manuscript on the i860. In maintanence, which I kept up continually, it's a snap. With both you can feed youer digital pics f=right into the printers in the lowest opening on the right, it feeds your pix right in and they can be adjusted to perfection. Look! I am thrilled with Canon as I have only used another brand for emergencies, then it was until my new Canon PIXMA iP 4000 came in...I use Parallel Ports and USB Ports which most "techs" said they were obsolete. NEVER believe these underpaid witless idiots. I had them turn the Canons around and asked what are the attachment Cables that go in those ports." I was apologized to many many times, as all of the units I have have both feeds. They also have a "quiet mode" found in maintenance.. Again, there is no way you can lose with these Canons..they are terrific machines, one I just sold from my account at Amazon.com for a decent price, but still under M.S.R.P. Thank you Canon, and thanks for your trusting ears my associates and friends. Fourstringer Rick

Pros: Compact Design, Lightweight/Portable, durable, Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, Low Ink Consumption, reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors, quiet, same innards as pixma 4000, cheap on ss pay.
Honestly, I bought this Canon i860 as my 1st 5 tank Color Pix / Pag-printer, after I was tired of Black only. This was surprising as I was elected by my Congregation to write letters to folks we never found at home to talk to, so I had to type the circumstances of my visit. And, why I caled on them I guess while they were at work. When I finished my letters, I would leave the names out until the very end, when i addressed the folks that rec'd them. This was a very smoothe and fast printer, that sounded actually as my PIXMA Canon iP4000 which I had attached to my computer. The fonts were very readable and though not large (8-10pixels) they were put out fast and very clear as any before it that I used. I found no cons with the "clamshell" shaped printer, which also gave me very clear images and text equally. I was impressed as I had small pocket change and it had a parallel Plug and Power wire, and the AC wire/adaptor were all reliable. It took same tanks as my Canon PIXMA iP4000 and 3000. I was happy and now my little girl gets it for her computer. It has been with us for several years already, and still runs great and quietly.

Pros: durable, Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors
We've had this printer for months now. Never a jam, never a smeared copy, never a problem. Easy to use, Easy to service. Convenient separate color and Black cartridges. Does a terrific job on photos as well as text. It will even let you print if one cartridge is getting low but it won't stop like some others. I would buy this again.

Pros: easy to use, Low Ink Consumption, reliable
I've had this printer for 6 years now and am having problems for the first time with the colors not printing clearly (it might be because I refill the ink tanks). I've been very happy with its performance and pleased with the life expectancy of the printer itself and of the ink cartridges. I especiallgy like that it has individual color carttridges. They don't wear out at the same rate and I only need to replace the color that is empty not all the colors.
Small Workhorse! It doesnt look like much, has a small footprint, is quiet- quieter than most, but has very good text- clerar than most and the paper NEVER jams (okay once in 3 years).
Excellent price to value- and we havent really even tested its photo capabilities much yet
