This is simply a Fantastic camera. I shoot mainly outdoors and this camera has never let me down. It is solid as a tank and has great features.

Really good beginner camera. Long battery life and easy to use once you have played with it for a little while.

Pros: Superior build quality, excellent image quality, Nice features/settings, quiet, Quick Start-up time, Solid Operation, easy to use, good battery life
Cons: Dim LCD, Complicated controls/menu, Heavy/Bulky
Exellent camera. I had only one issue: I broke upper curtain at about 34 000 shots. The camera wasn't dropped or hit in any way, so it was probably technical problem. Also it is not very convenient this use of both hands when operating the camera. It is very good that this doesn't exist in new Mark III any more.

Pros: Superior build quality, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, quiet, Quick Start-up time, Solid Operation, easy to use, good battery life, people have "camera envy"
Fast, durable, ergonomic dials and displays. Superfast in cold or head-takes a beating and still produces! Any mistakes in images were my error-not the camera! It's my rock for sports and all around!

Pros: rugged, reliable
Cons: iso noise, lacks self cleaning sensor
This camera has performed like a tank and still does. I have had it on deployment to Iraq when I was in the Army and I still use it today. The lack of resolution is met with extrememly sharp images and tack on focus. I have been able to up-sample RAW files to 17MP with great results. As with any Digic II the noise reduction isn't great and it's a dust magnet.
